How do you make a Flame Thrower exhaust?
Hey there from Pimped Out Cars
| Ever since I saw my first Flame Thrower exahaust I was intrigued. Fire is shoots out of the exhaust. Then I had an evil thought. You wouldn’t want to be in the car behind and be the recipient of some type of revenge. In the the hands of the wrong person this device would not be pretty.
I think that this idea came from people copying the drag racers when the header shoot flames out during a race. If you want to see a thing of beauty, go to the night time drag races and watch thes flames shoot out of these massively horse powered cars. The original way to create this phenomenon is to interrupt the spark from the coil; let raw fuel run through the engine into the exhaust. At the end of the exhaust pipe there is a spark plug attached which ignites the fuel and POW!! the flames comes shooting out. Now this works on carbureated engine. Don’t try this on Fuel injected vehicle and or vehicles with Sensors in the exhaust pipes. From what I recall, don’t try this with any exhaust system with a catalytic converter. Also remember that this will shorten the life of your engine. The original way to create this phenomenon is to interrupt the spark from the coil; let raw fuel run through the engine into the exhaust.
