Pimped Out Cars: 1967 Buick Riviera Lowrider

Hey from Pimped Out Cars… Here is the 1967 Buick Riviera

This one in the video is a lowrider. These were big cars. The Buick was a step down from a Cadillac. My grandfather loved them. You got all the bells and whistles of a Cadillac without being a showoff. Also supposedly the Buick had a better and softer ride. Not sure what engine this had, but I had a 74 Centurion Buick with a 455 Big Block.

With the exception of a new grill, taillamps and slightly altered rocker moldings, the Buick Riviera remained much of the same for 1967. The excitement came with the announcement of the introduction of the new 430 V8 with 360hp that was now the highest rated standard engine of any muscle car. The new engine was reported to be much smoother, quieter and breathed better. Sales remained steady with 42,799 models produced.
